BridgeABC is a free place to play bridge, run as a personal project by Willem Mevius. By playing here you agree to the following, which is deliberately short.

The service

Playing is free. There is nothing to buy and no subscription. The site is offered as it is: it may change, break, or be discontinued at any time, and no particular availability is promised. Robot partners and opponents play as well as they play — their bidding and card play are not guaranteed to be expert, or even always sensible.

Your account

• Choose a name that isn't offensive and doesn't impersonate someone else. Your name is shown to other players and publicly on the leaderboards.
• Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
• There is no password reset. We don't ask for an email address, so there is no way to prove an account is yours if you forget your password — the account is then effectively lost. Please pick a password you'll remember.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account page, and doing so also removes your results and leaderboard entries.

Playing with others

Bridge is a partnership game, so please be civil at the table and in chat: no abuse, no harassment, and no deliberately abandoning a game you've joined. Don't use scripts, bots or double-dummy solvers to choose your calls or cards against human opponents, don't create accounts in bulk, and don't attack or overload the site. Accounts used this way may be removed without notice.

Content and ownership

Deals generated here are free for you to use, print and share. Imported vugraph records and problem hands remain the property of whoever created them; they are shown here for practice and study. The site's code, text and design remain ours.

Liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it — including interrupted games, lost results, or the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
